Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ)

What is Teen Bible Quiz?

• Interactive discipleship ministry for teens 7-12th grade.
• Each year we set out to memorize and study portions of the Bible.
• We have 4-5 quiz meets each school year where we meet with other churches and quiz over the material we have been studying.

What do we do?

• Have Bible Study each week.
• Hold each other accountable for studying the scriptures.
• Fellowship with our own team as well as other churches.
• Memorize and study at your own ability level and pace.
• We memorize scripture.
• We have fun competitions with other teens.
• We get discipled so we can disciple others.
• We go on road trips.
• We make new friends.
• We engage in devotions.

What are the competitions like?

• The competitions are very fun and do not have the normal “pressure” attached to them. Instead, we fellowship and have fun with other teens all the while learning about God’s Word.
• We do not put the focus on winning or the quizzing aspect, but instead on growing in our relationship with Christ through studying the Bible.
• We encourage humility, teamwork, and to diligently study the Word of God.
• The quizzing aspect is just the tool to help teens be motivated to study and have some fun.

What else does Bible Quiz offer?

• Builds confidence.
• Increases the brain’s ability to memorize and retain information.
• Teaches apologetics and critical thinking skills.
• Improves communication skills.
• Encourages personal goal setting.
• Teaches perseverance
