Open Bible Church is committed to supporting local, national, and global missions, actively spreading the gospel and serving communities in need.

Local Missions

Because all life is sacred, Black Hills Pregnancy Center exists to explore choices by providing appropriate resources and support for all impacted by an unplanned pregnancy.

An annual time of encouragement and worship for business and community leaders throughout the area, focusing on faith, hope, and prayer.

Woven Cord Ministries is run by OBC's Brad Klaussen. They minister largely to Rapid City's homeless and Native American population.

Open Bible Church and our generous congregants bless those who can't afford a holiday meal.

Better Roads is run by OBC's Brent and Shantelle Komorous. Their faith-based program helps men struggling with addiction get back on their feet.

Fellowship of Nations is focused on sharing the hope of Jesus Christ, building relationships, and supporting spiritual growth among Native families.

Each 4th of July, we serve meals to the first responders who serve and protect our community.

Churches of Rapid City are coming together for “Prayer, Praise & Proclamation!” to raise the spiritual atmosphere in Rapid City and dedicate our city to Jesus.

Passages Women's Transitional Living is a faith-based ministry focused on providing reentry services to women making the transition from incarceration, homelessness, and treatment centers.

Cornerstone Rescue Mission is a vital piece of Rapid City's fabric serving the physical and spiritual needs of more than 500 vulnerable women, children, and men every day.

WRAP is a tool that mobilizes people to help adoptive and foster children and the families who care for them. When families have WRAP around care, they are given the support they need to thrive.

SHIFT Garage is dedicated to serving low-income families, single parents, and those who are legitimately unable to afford a traditional repair shop. OBC volunteers give their time and talent to the mission weekly.

Regional/National Missions

Right to Life works, in recognition of our human right to life in South Dakota, through education, legislation, activism, and service. We support measures to reduce and eliminate abortion, euthanasia, and other life-ending procedures.

Bringing the life-changing Word of God to high school youth across the Midwest through high school assemblies and evening outreaches.

InterVarsity @ SD Mines & WDT, led by OBC's Rick Demarest, is a vibrant campus ministry that establishes and advances witnessing communities of students and faculty.

Feeding South Dakota makes it possible for kids, families and seniors to have food on the table and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Rockside Ranch Black Hills is a faith-based life restoration program for young men in crisis. The ranch is run by OBC's Matt and Ketura Veal and located in New Underwood.

Unlocking the potential of Spirit-empowered discipleship, the Keystone Project is a community of believers radically committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. Their mission is to identify, train, and coach leaders to launch disciple making movements in the nations.

EveryHeart is a YWAM missions community on mission to see a generation met and sent by the love of Jesus.

Campaign 99 is a strategic initiative of Open Bible Churches Mountain Plains Region focused on helping churches become younger, stronger, and more mobile through discipleship, leadership development, and church multiplication.

Dare 2 Share is energizing a movement of gospel advancing leaders globally with training tools and resources that activate students to become lifelong disciple multipliers, sharing their faith with their friends, family, and their world.

South Dakota Kids Belong improves the experiences and outcomes for kids in South Dakota's foster care system.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, has delivered millions of gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world.

Global Missions

The Global Harvest Hope for Africa campaign partners with missionaries, field directors, and ministries to build new churches with a goal of bringing revival to Africa.

Tom and Sherry have been have been involved in successful church planting and training national pastors and leadership in this mostly Muslim country since 1986. They are seeing second- and third-generation Christians.

Drew and Jessica and their family are working alongside the national leadership to oversee churches, schools, conferences, and projects that will help the ministry in Liberia to thrive again instead of just surviving.

Joel and Jennifer strive to turn stark poverty into abundance, broken relationships into healthy families, and forsaken hope into realized dreams in one of the largest Muslim populations in Uganda.

Tammy Swailes has lived and ministered in Eastern Europe since 1999. She directs the INSTE program in Ukraine and serves as regional director for INSTE in Europe.

The children at the Elida Orphanage may have been neglected and cast aside, but they are precious in God's sight. They are provided food, housing, healthcare, and other essentials while learning about Jesus.

Dr. Burliss Parker and his wife Dawn have been Open Bible pastors for 40 years in various locations. After recently leaving their last pastor’s position in Illinois, they felt the Lord calling them to the mission field.

Mike and Dara Rasavanh have been missionaries in Thailand since 2016. They bring hope and the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Asia through church planting, education, entrepreneurship, & discipleship.
