Purpose

WHY we exist

Open Bible Church exists to make disciples, develop leaders, and multiply churches in the greater Rapid area, Mountain Plains Region, and around the world.

Vision

WHERE we are going

At our 100-year milestone, Open Bible Church will be a growing and thriving ministry family in the greater Rapid City area known for its multi-generational influence and discipleship. We will launch innovative outreach campaigns both locally and digitally, grow to 1000 in in-person average attendance, catalyze leadership and multiplication throughout the Open Bible Movement, plant three churches in partnership with the Mountain Plains Region, and maintain net positive income of 5-10% throughout the organization.

While some initiatives may launch quickly, others will unfold over time as we build momentum, strengthen alignment, and steward resources wisely. This plan reflects both immediate priorities and long-term strategies for sustained impact.

Motto

This concise and powerful motto centers our church around the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. “Loving God” grounds everything in worship and relationship with Him. “Investing in People” prioritizes discipleship and relational ministry. “Reaching the World” expands the vision beyond our walls, reflecting a kingdom mindset that’s both local and global.
